Taking inspiration and its name from Koei-Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors (and more specifically, Hyrule Warriors) Emblem Warriors implements a unique base capture mechanic: There are several "keeps" in the chapter that can be taken control of by killing the boss unit guarding it. Every four turns, any Keep in the enemy's possession will spawn four enemy units. It's worth noting that this submission was created before the announcement of an official Warriors game featuring Fire Emblem characters.

The first thing to note is Marcus's stats. Though they seem to be well above the cap, they drop significantly after he attacks one time. Second, enemies spawn from the Vendor even if Marcus trades his Steel Sword to Matthew to allow him to kill Aion in one turn. This means he's vulnerable to the Mages when they attack. Instead, block as many of the Mages from spawning as you can, the turn before attacking. Aion gets to move too, but he rarely attacks with Thunder instead of Bolting. When dealing with the Bandits, Lyn can very easily wipe out several in one turn, and Lowen can two-round KO them with the Steel Sword. Marcus, after his nerf, has about the same potential. One last note for the first few bases: Every time an enemy takes a base, that means you can get extra EXP for re-taking it, if that matters.

After taking one of the two bases Bandits spawn from, several events occur: Erk appears in the west, surrounded by Archers, and Sain appears in the east, besieged by Shamans. Equipping them with ranged weapons and putting them on forests helps their survivability in case you can't get to them quickly. The Archers most certainly should NOT be allowed to reach the Ballista, otherwise they'll shoot out the NPC Knight, and that will count as capturing another base. Somehow. Keep in mind Hannah has Nosferatu, should you aim to take her out. When you approach Farina, she spawns a bunch of Dennings who are very much capable of killing Eliwood. Though Shanna spawns, she is not nearly enough; leave your Fighters and possibly even Oswin near Eliwood for further protection.

Most of the enemies on the way towards Farina are just more Bandits and Knights. Marcus or Matthew can open the door to Farina, and Farina herself is easily taken out with Javelins (Hand Axes if you lure her into equipping her lance), or if you're feeling lucky, Rebecca. Marcus automatically moves to the throne the turn after killing her, and when he does, Roy appears at Eliwood's throne to attempt to kill him. At this point, Eliwood becomes playable and he should probably retreat. Run him away through either the left or right path through the castle door, whichever is cleared of enemies, opening the door with his key along the way and avoiding the Sniper on the way out. A unit or two will probably die along the way, but Lyn, Eliwood and Hector cause a game over if they die, so it's for a good cause. Lure Roy towards the rest of your army and use whatever means you have to kill him - Roy just has a Rapier. When he dies, the chapter is completed.
