Though similar in objective and overall design to Boss Rush Mode, Morph's Last Stand is generally seen as inferior, as the large map and overpowered enemies on forts leads to slow gameplay. Enemies also frequently require lucky dice rolls to be killed.
Walkthrough
There are no surprises or traps in this chapter. The initial enemies are of no real threat. The hardest part of the first few turns is dealing with Sonia and Jerme. Jerme is best dealt with by giving Sain's Silver Lance to Marcus, as he has maxed Skill, so hitting Jerme should be no problem. Louise can make short work of Sonia with her Silver Bow fired from the forest tile and Pent support, but be sure to heal her. Ursula is up next, and fortunately she never moves from the fort right next to a forest tile. Any swordsman can handle her. At this point, if you haven't given Athos the two siege tomes you have, do so, as he is the best one to use them. All the units past this point do not move unless you enter their range, therefore they can be baited out and killed one at a time. Units parked on forts are another story. Lloyd can't really inflict any damage at all with his Wind Sword, so attacking at range is safe, but it will take several turns to kill him. Forblaze makes short work of Linus and can eventually take down Nergal. This leaves Limstella, who can be dealt with by Hawkeye fishing for a critical with his Tomahawk and two healers nearby. The chapter ends when all enemies are gone.Ragefest I: Tranquility of Anger |
