Maze of the Troll King is Camtech075's submission in Ragefest One. It is a hack of Blazing Sword.
This chapter is responsible for inspiring tighter restrictions on Fog of War chapters as well as rules regarding cryptic solutions. It uses Thracia 776-style Fog, meaning that the player cannot even see the terrain of tiles outside their vision range. There is only one playable unit, and has only 2 tiles of vision, and the nature of the map was cryptic enough to make Masanobu Endoh scream in terror.
Walkthrough
The objective is simply to seize the throne, however there are three thrones. Only the throne in the center is the correct throne, but to get there, the player must use a Door Key on the marked tile just south of the throne room, which doesn't look like a door at all. There are several chests, however, in this map the chests and walls constantly shift, so the player has to wait by the correct chest's position until it appears. All chests except for the chest closest to the entrance contain Chest Keys, and the chest closest to the entrance contains the required Door Key. Standing on the tile next to the door gives the player a stronger weapon needed to kill the boss. Also, certain enemies cause a game over upon being killed. There does not appear to be any time limit, but the turn events stop at the 255th turn.
