 When the world was ravaged in the wake of the Fourth Rage War, the Hackers came together to repair the damage. The [[Aurora Machina]] was built, in order to make the process of reconstruction simpler to implement. The Aurora was also used to create the [[Heirs]]; artificial children of the Hackers with their own will and mind. Kyo chose to create [[Aster]], his daughter.
 At some point, Kyo, with slight assistance from Aster for one, created several [[Disarm]] tomes, meant to take apart magical weapons and devices. Marc was given one, in the event the Aurora Machina and/or the [[Enragement Ring (Item)|Enragement Ring]] was compromised. When this did happen, Marc used it on the ring, separating the stone from the ring band, rendering it incomplete.
